The Generation Cup: A Year-Long Celebration of Golf, Family, and Competition
The Generation Cup is a unique, family-focused golf tournament that spans the entire year, offering golfers of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to compete. This first-of-its-kind event, in partnership with the PGA of America, aims to bring together golfers from all generations to grow the game of golf.
Inaugural Omni Generation Cup Qualifiers
Omni Mount Washington Qualifier
- Date: Friday, August 16, 2024
- Location: Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, Mount Washington Course
Who Can Participate?
Anyone within your family who is part of a generation can participate. Teams of two can compete in one of three divisions:
- Grandparent & Grandchild*
- Parent & Child or Aunt/Uncle & Niece/Nephew*
- PGA Professional & Generational Family Member*
*USGA handicap required.
Event Format and Qualifying Spots
The event format is a two-person modified best ball, shamble. Each player hits a tee shot, the team selects the best of the two shots, and each player plays their ball from that point until the ball is holed. The lower of the two scores is the team score for the hole. The top gross and net teams from each division will advance to the National Championship at Omni PGA Frisco Resort in May 2025.
Participation Fee
- Club Members and PGA Professionals: $200 per team
- All Other Entrants: $250 per team
The participation fee includes lunch, awards, green fee, and range usage on the competition day.
Schedule of Events
- 7:00 AM: Player Registration at Golf Clubhouse
- 8:15 AM: Call to Carts and Welcome
- 8:30 AM: Shotgun Start at Mount Washington Course
- 1:00 PM: Player Lunch and Winner Announcement
Awards will be presented immediately after play once scores are posted and confirmed. PGA Professional division winners may be announced at a later date, based on the field size.

Event Overview
The Mount Washington Observatory’s (MWOBS) Seek the Peak is back for its 24th year, featuring a hike-a-thon and Après Hike Expo. This event is MWOBS’s largest annual fundraiser, inviting hikers of all ability levels to raise vital funds for the Observatory and celebrate adventure in the White Mountains.

- Purpose: To raise money to sustain MWOBS’s educational and scientific programs.
How to Participate
- Hike and Make Friends Program: Match with participants of similar ability levels to complete a hike together.
- Hike Anywhere: Can’t make it to Mount Washington? Participate from any location and “Seek Your Peak” globally.
Après Hike Expo
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center
Even if you’re not hiking, join us for the Après Hike Expo. Enjoy live music, an 80’ climbing wall manned by Mount Washington Valley climbing schools, food and beverages, and booths from your favorite outdoor brands.

- Catered Meal: Enjoy delicious food from Hart’s Turkey Farm Restaurant.
- Live Music: Celebrate with great tunes and a lively atmosphere.
- Climbing Wall: Challenge yourself with a climb.

- General Admission: Free for hikers who raise funds for MWOBS.
- Après Hike Party Entry Ticket: $15 per car (Early Bird), $20 per car at the door. Includes access to the expo and all activities.
