  • Sunday, September 29th: Unlimited rides from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM for $35.00

Individual Ride Tickets:

Special Events and Competitions

The Deerfield Fair is renowned for its engaging special events and competitions, offering something for everyone, including active adults seeking unique and local experiences. Here’s what you can look forward to this year:

Excavator Rodeo

For those with a passion for heavy machinery, the Excavator Rodeo is a must-see event. Scheduled for Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM, this competition highlights the precision and skill of professional excavator operators.

Event Highlights:

  • Eligibility: Open to experienced excavator operators with at least three years in the profession.
  • How to Enter: Submit your entry to the Deerfield Fair Association, PO Box 156, Deerfield, NH 03037, or drop it off at the Administration Building at 34 Stage Road, Deerfield.
  • Entry Limit: The competition is capped at 25 operators. Entries are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a lottery system if the limit is exceeded.
  • Prizes:
    • 1st Place: $500
    • 2nd Place: $300
    • 3rd Place: $200

Competition Format:

  • First Round: Operators will pick and place kettle bells within a set time. Scores are based on time and penalties for moved targets. The top eight scores advance to the second round.
  • Second Round: Competitors must pick balls from pylons and drop them into a trash barrel within a time limit. The lowest three scores progress to the final round.
  • Third Round: Operators will serve milk from a bottle mounted on a shovel, with scoring based on the weight of milk in glasses. There is no time limit for this round.
